It is one of the last drinkable and un-dammed lakes in the province. The property is within 10 minutes of the historic towns of Silverton and New Denver. There is a Community Health Centre and a K-12 school. It is within 1¼ hours of the larger towns of Nelson and Castlegar. There is an airport in Castlegar and another one near Trail.

The communities along Slocan Lake have a diverse economy that includes not only the traditional resource based industries but a vibrant arts and music community which adds to the quality of life we enjoy so much. If living healthy is important to you, you will enjoy the many small businesses that supply us with good quality food and services that enrich our lives.

It is a mountainous region with unlimited opportunities for adventure. From the comfort of your sun deck you can look across the Slocan Lake to see glaciers and sheer rock cliffs along with lush valleys and mountain streams. Rest assured that your viewscape is protected by the Class A designation of the Valhalla Park.

The house is situated on 32.77  acres of land which fronts on Hwy #6. This land is predominantly flat and usable. About 50% of the land is forested and the remainder has been developed into pastures, house site and roads. The remaining forest is of a medium size and has not been logged for many years. The good quality road will take you from the house to the highway in two minutes. It has a reasonable grade and averages 20 feet wide.

The house was built in 1995 for the present owner and there have been a number of improvements made since. It has 1,679 square feet of finished floor space and sits on a full daylight basement. Attached to the house is an insulated garage. Also attached to the front of the house is a huge sun deck with panoramic mountain views. The most prominent view is of the cliffs above Nemo Creek in the Valhalla Park only 7 kilometers away. Also in your view is the Mulvey group of mountains which has the highest mountain in the Valhalla Mountain Range at 9,285 feet of elevation. It is 20 kilometers away.

New in 2013 – We have made a number of additions and improvements this year.

  1. We  built a new roof which covers a significant portion of the deck.  This makes the deck much more functional in summer and winter.
  2. A new 6 person hot tub.  You will love this on those cold winter days.
  3. We have removed a number of trees which improves the already spectacular mountain views.
  4. We have added a small generator and hard wired it to a few outlets in the basement of the house.
